One of the crown jewels of Yoga is prāṇāyāma: the control over subtle energy.

Almost always prāṇāyāma is translated as meaning ‘control over the breath’; as a set of breathing exercises. However, a higher and more subtle form of it was presented to Śri Yogācārya Ajīta Mahārāja in the 1980’s. It uses the exact same set of instructions, only this time interpreted on a symbolic level.

There is a universal symbolism behind all of life that can be known through the study of dreams, visions, analogies and metaphors. In Yoga this is called the sāṃdhya bhāṣā (or: the Twilight Language). It is a deep understanding of all the essential similarities between phenomena. It is understanding life as if all of it is simply a dream. Through Yoga you will naturally come to understand this seemingly mysterious way of understanding.

One who understands this Twilight Language is able to make the higher interpretations of the teachings on prāṇāyāma and will no longer be led into the lower forms of prāṇāyāma that deal with breath. This cannot be learned from a book and should be learned from an initiated teacher. With the help of the Twilight Language, prāṇāyāma is seen from a very different perspective. In this course we will help you do so.

An introduction to working with subtle energy will be given. Part in theory, part in practice. The course contains a varied set of exercises to work with, that will help you to experience the reality of Śiva and Śakti energy directly and for yourself and to become more sensitive and more vital, while gaining more control over your health – both physical and mental.

Do bear in mind though, that working directly with energy is something very powerful. Great care and refraining from experimentation are strongly advised here.
