What is the Rainbow Path?

The Rainbow Path of spiritual training is a very new and unique combination (or a pattern, if you like) of methods for obtaining spiritual growth. Some of it is strongly grounded in ancient tradition, some of it is pioneering & progressive.

One way to describe the programme would be to say that it is at the same time a complete Yoga training, a training in energy psychology & a training in creativity. This may sound odd or quirky to you, but during the training you will find it is in fact both logical and very intuitive.

All things are made out of energy. Differences between phenomena exist due to the differences in energy patterns they were constructed from. Those variations usually remain very abstract and therefore it can be difficult to think of things in terms of their energetic differences.

However, music, colours and also the basic elements of language are subjects that offer us a very simple and clearly organised way to study the dynamics of energy. Doing this is a great starting point in discovering the Unity behind all that exists.

This is what we study on the Rainbow Path.

Why study on the Rainbow Path?

Studying all things from the perspective of their energy & energetic quality does various things that can be helpful for us:

* It helps us look at things beyond their form and beyond what we already know of them. To look at things with new eyes, again and again, seeing the life beyond the surface.

* It helps us to determine the true nature of activities, things, people, animals, plants, etc. So we can more adequately respond to them, work with them, predict what’s going to happen, strengthen their weaknesses, help them find their higher purpose, bring them towards thriving, etc.

* It shows us there is a logic behind all that exists. Gives us a framework to understand the mechanics, the systematics of life and our consciousness. This has many benefits, but to give an example: for people doing any kind of creative work this will help them better express what they want to express and to build stronger, better organised forms.

But this path also includes a full Yogic training. This training helps us better understand and use the energy within ourselves. Among other things this includes body work, energy direction, detachment, meditation. Each dealing with a different part of our consciousness.

You were able to read quite a lot about our Yogic training on the frontpage of our website, so we will not go much further into this here.

For who is this programme?

Very practically speaking, our programmes are for any spiritual seeker who is ready to commit for a long term training. As true, stable growth always goes slowly. Students should be of average to high intelligence, good intententions and generally good health (both mental & physical).

Also, you need to be able to make time for self-study & practice, some quiet reflection and regular attendance of live video meetings. (See purple block below for more information.)

You can be a beginner or already have some experience with spiritual practices. But especially if you are already dedicated to spiritual growth, have a broad range of interests with a special emphasis on creativity and/or psychology, our approach may have a lot in store for you.

We offer one of the most complete spiritual training programmes found today, that covers all areas of our consciousness and gives you many spiritual tools/instruments to work with. But, while most spiritual training programmes focus mostly on what is higher and on finding realisations of Unity or Oneness, we go beyond this.

By also studying the broad diversity of life, as it exists in our daily environments, on our planet more generally, and in the rest of the cosmos, we learn to see that the Divine is not only something exalted or elevated, somewhere far away in the heavens up above. We learn to see that the Divine is something that already surrounds us everywhere, each day, and that it only requires a certain way of observing to be able to notice it.

Practically speaking, we teach you to meditate in many ways, but we also teach you how to apply these skills to daily living. So it can enrich not only your inner life directly, but also all your activities.

How is the path structured?

If you choose to join our online programme, you can enroll into the Foundation Level of the training path.

Here we teach you the basic theory, methods & skills that you need in order to build a strong foundation for your spiritual development. Those who already have a clearly shaped foundation will see their foundation become stronger and will deepen their understanding of it.

The full programme consists of four levels: Foundation, Intermediate, Advanced & Expert. Each level further touches a deeper level of our consciousness and offers you new methods & techniques for development.

On each level, you will be granted access to a set of e-learning courses on different subjects, corresponding group and forums, in which you can interact with your teachers and fellow students, ask questions, arrange to meditate together, etc.

You can then start studying the theory and instructions for methods & techniques, in your own time and at your own pace. Weekly, there will be three live sessions which you can choose to attend: a 1 hour āsana practice, a 1,5 hour Rāja Yoga session and a 1,5 hour Varṇa Yoga session. Here, we will practise together and discuss the theory according to the questions students bring in.

You can choose which sessions to attend each week. We strongly encourage you to attend at least one session per week and a maximum of two sessions per week.

Attending these sessions regularly is a prerequisite to be able to enroll into the next level of training. Attending all three live sessions is advised against, as enough rest and normal day to day activities are important in processing what you learn.

Live sessions are held via Zoom. Each level will generally take about 18 months of weekly attendance to complete (based on a relaxed yearly schedule of 40 working weeks per year).

What is the curriculum?

The general outlines of the curriculum of the Rainbow training path are found on the frontpage of this website. All the subjects that are listed there will be studied as a part of courses that are structured around a theme.

Each level has a set of about four such thematic courses. The courses about āsana are available throughout all levels.

On the Foundation Level, the curriculum is as follows:

* Elementary navigation:
A course dealing with a few fundamental instruments of the Yogi: yama, niyama, klesha theory & pratyahara.

* Energy work 1:
An introduction into the subject of directly working with subtle energy (praṇa), theoretically as well as practically.

* Samkhya 1:
What is our consciousness & how is it structured? We are setting our first steps in answering these questions.

* Sound, Speech & Colour 1:
Here Varṇa Yoga, or the Yoga of Divine Diversity, is studied as well as practised, mainly through various techniques dealing with Sound, Speech & Colour.

How can I enrol?

Before you enrol there are a few last things that are important to know.

Cost for following the Foundation Level training of the Rainbow Path is 150 euros/month (incl. VAT). This is a recurring payment that can be cancelled at any moment. For this fee, you obtain access to 5 e-learning courses, exclusive parts of our community and 3 weekly live sessions of 4 hours in total. You will not be required to purchase any other learning materials to complete the course.

As mentioned earlier, the Foundation Level training is estimated to take about 18 months to complete. An important part of this is self-study, but during the weekly sessions you can ask questions to your teachers and learn from the interaction with your fellow students. Your experienced teachers are also here to supervise your development and keep you in the right direction, as some of the techniques and the transformations they bring can be quite challenging and new.

Both self-study & regular attendance of weekly meetings are required to complete the Level. There is a lot of space for you to follow your own path within the Level. To a large extent and within the boundaries of your level, you choose which sessions to attend when and what subject to study when & in what order.

Each course can be completed at 3 or 4 times a year, during a so-called ‘Course Wrap’ session. These sessions are short classes (group or individual) with your teacher that focus solely on a single subject. The purpose of these classes is for you to ask your final questions on the materials studied and for your teacher to estimate if you’ve made the effort and have good general understanding of what was studied.
